Scrapbooking Retreat at Pens and Needles Lakeside, Detroit Lakes, MN

OK, so this past weekend I made a trip back to MN for a Scrapbooking Retreat with my 5 Sisters and Mom, along with some neices, a cousin and great friends!  What can I say there is nothing like 3 days of pure scrappin' and card making.  What a great time!  Above is a photo of just some of the fun, the wrapping up of a Stampin' Up! workshop put on by my newest recruit (my Mom) and in the back a Tastefully Simply demonstration....we never had a dull moment.
Pens and Needles Lakeside is such a wonderful place, just LOOK at the design studio!  Each person has an 8 foot table for crafting on...it may look like a mess, but many pages were done in just 3 days!  And some come for the fun and company and do there digital scrapbooking....actually, I wonder if they might just come for the good food and beverage...  :-)  hehehe!
Here are some of the pages we did, we voted on who had the best layout, those in the picture all tied for 2nd and 3rd places...
And here is our group, the Design DIVA'S, what a CREATIVE BUNCH!

Good Monday morning to ALL of you!  Well, I am home after 4 days of Skiing with some of my family, what a great time we all had.  And the kids are skiing wonderfully, my nephew (6) and daughter (5) went all the way to the Summit and skied blues all the way down, so awesome.  And the other nephew (3) and my other daughter (3) were ripping up the greens by day four.  So much fun!

So, back to stamping!  Here is another one of my Stamp a Stack cards I will be doing.  I wanted to get a more manly card, and this is what I came up with.  I really like the tri-fold card design.

I used the Loads of Love stamp set for the truck and colored in with the Stampin' Pastels.  The ticket corner punch really helps the image pop with the silver brads.  I used DSP from the Occasions mini catalog for the background pieces.  The word window punch and modern label punch are used for the greeting.  Enjoy!!

Upsy Daisy - Thank You

Here is a great little card for a Stamp a Stack!  I just never get tired of this Upsy Daisy Stamp set.  And you have to love the crisp rich color of the new Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso together.  Oh, and I got to try out an embossing folder too....

And to add some character to the inside and make it easier to write your thank you note, I added a piece of very vanilla with some of the daisies stamped on the lower part of the card stock.  I hope you enjoy.

Little Birdie Valentine

This card is made using the Love You Much stamp set (#113756) and the Vintage Vogues stamp set (#117690-W).  The card base is Old Olive accented with some DSP and Real Red.  I used the Word Window Punch (#119857)  and Modern Label Punch (#119849) with the Teeny Tiny Wishes SS for the Greeting.  A piece of 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Old Olive and Bitty Button add just the right touch.

Happy Valentine's Day Friends

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!  Here is a little card I made while playing with my BIG SHOT.  I added some hearts punched out using the Heart to Heart Punch (#119881) to some DSP with some SNAIL adhesive, and then used the Square Lattice embossing folder (#119976) to create some texture.  A simple real red grosgrain ribbon and friend heart from the I (Heart)Hearts stamp set stamped in real red on pretty in pink and then punched out with the Full heart Punch (#119883) completes the look.

Cottage Garden Thank You

Here is a quick Thank You I whipped up the other day using the set Cottage Garden that I received as a gift, and I thought how perfect to use it for the thank you card I would send.  I also took the chance to use a color combination that I wouldn't normally try as a challenge to myself.  I think it turned out cute, I hope you like it.  I hope you are all getting in the Holiday Spirit!

Simply Dashing

Here is a simple yet elegant Dasher card that I used for my very first Stamp-a-Stack the other day.  My gals really loved this card.  And I learned a few things to make my next event go more smoothly.  But we ALL had fund!  In this card I used Very Vanilla and Early Espresso CS, and the Deck the Halls DSP.  Embellished the card with Simple Pearls and Early Espresso Satin Ribbon.  We sponged the edges with Early Espresso ink and used the Ticket Corner punch along with the Modern Label and Word Window Punch for the greeting.  Hope you like the card!

Season of Joy

Here is another simple Christmas card.  I used the Season of Joy set.  It's a little hard to see from this picture, but there are pearl accents on the snowflake and the three poinsettias on the top.  Also, the tree was cut out and mounted with a dimensional, and the snowflake was punched out with a 1/2" circle punch and mounted with a dimensional too. Thanks for checking out my blog!

Deck the Halls

Here is a Christmas card, again I used the Victoria crochet trim, Antique brad, Early Espresso striped grosgrain ribbon, and the Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper.  I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set along with Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso card stock.  I also used Vintage Trinkets, and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz on the large flower to make it shimmer.  ENJOY!
